It’s a real pleasure to introduce Luke as a new Associate at Coaching4Careers. Luke brings with him an extraordinary combination of lived experience, professional expertise and an infectious curiosity about what helps people perform at their best.

Luke’s journey began in Australia.  As a teenager he trained at the highest level of football, and this is when he was introduced to the power of mindset and mental performance. While most of his peers dismissed early sessions in mindfulness and visualisation, Luke was intrigued. That curiosity has become a lifelong thread, guiding him from professional sport, through endurance adventures and into coaching and leadership development across the globe.

After retiring from football at the age of 28, Luke embarked on a new path, taking on endurance challenges – running across deserts, swimming between continents and creating adventures.  These feats attracted brand sponsorship, documentaries and keynote speaking opportunities. But beyond this, he discovered a deeper calling: helping people apply the same mindset principles to overcome obstacles in life and work.

Luke’s coaching philosophy concentrates on a human-centred approach to high performance, developing self-awareness to enhance how individuals and teams think, act and lead. His style blends coaching, mentoring and consulting, depending on what best serves his clients. Whether supporting Olympic programmes with British Rowing, guiding senior leaders or working with corporate teams, he helps people navigate setbacks, build resilience and unlock potential.

His perspective is not only shaped by sport and business.  Luke has also lived and travelled widely. From sleeping in a Nepalese mountain hut to delivering talks in 16 countries, he has seen first-hand the role of gratitude, perspective and open-mindedness in sustaining high performance and wellbeing.

Reflecting on his path, Luke says his aim is simple: “I want to leave the world with the tools that I’ve learned, for others to use and share.”

Luke brings fresh energy and a unique lens on what it means to thrive, and we are excited to welcome him to our C4C community.
